M&A and Private Equity
Wigge is a leading firm in the small and mid-cap segment for private M&A transactions in Sweden. Our M&A and Private Equity team offers advice on all types of private M&A transactions and is highly regarded in the market, which is regularly confirmed by independent ranking institutes.
With a genuine interest in business and by collaborating with acquisition-intense clients, we ensure an excellent overview of trends and market practices. Our concept with small teams led by experienced partners is well-proven and our aim is always to build or strengthen a long-term client relationship.
Wigge’s M&A team regularly advises private equity funds, industrial clients s and founders. We assist in everything from structured auction processes to bilaterally negotiated transactions. We also know that the same process does not work in all situations, so we adapt and can tailor the process based on the specific transaction and the relevant parties. Regardless of the transaction process and the size and nature of the transaction, we have an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms and driving forces in the transaction.
We have extensive experience in transactions across a wide range of industries and sectors, including energy and natural resources, industrials, services, infrastructure, media and entertainment, and technology.
We assist our private equity clients throughout the entire investment process, from investment to management and at exit. During the holding period, we offer effective advice to the portfolio companies in a number of different areas, such as add-on acquisitions, management incentive programmes, and other issues relating to employees. Our accumulated knowledge of the portfolio company during the holding period makes us well positioned to assist the sponsor and other owners in connection with an exit process.
Together with the client, we establish the strategy for the transaction and identify, analyse and manage legal risks and opportunities in a professional manner.
The Wigge team usually acts as lead counsel and project manager in the transaction, but also frequently acts together with international law firms in cross-border transactions.
Our advice includes, among other things:
- Mergers and acquisitions
