Wigge & Partners acted as local counsel for Gjensidige Forsikring ASA, the third largest insurance company in the Nordics, in connection with the acquisition of Falck Räddningskår Aktiebolag and its subsidiaries in the Nordics and the Baltics for SEK 1.4 billion on a debt and cash free basis. Falck are market leading distributor of roadside assistance and call centre with business in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia and Lithuania with nationwide franchise networks combined with industry knowledge.
Falck has, approximately, 370 start-up locations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia and Lithuania with 1400+ franchise vehicles and 60 owned vehicles with 260 employees throughout the Nordics and the Baltics. Falck recorded EUR 75.8 million in revenue and EUR 6 million in EBITA in 2020.
The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of 2022.
