Altor-owned Network of Design has acquired Grythyttan Stålmöbler. Grythyttan Stålmöbler was established in 1895 in the town of Grythyttan in Sweden’s Bergslagen region and has been owned by the founder family since the start.
At the Stockholm exhibition of 1930, the classic “A2-armchair” was shown for the first time – and has been manufactured continuously ever since. Together with several other classics, the furniture is produced on site in Grythyttan with sustainability focus. The solid craftmanship in combination with high-quality materials ensures that the furniture last for generations. Today, Grythyttan Stålmöbler, is run by the fourth generation of the Lindqvist family. The sale to the NOD-group secures the company's future growth while maintaining its local and historical roots.
The NOD-group now consists of eight companies: String Furniture, Photowall, Cooee Design, Kid’s Concept, Byarums Bruk, Wall of Art, Norling Studios and Grythyttan Stålmöbler.
The team from Wigge & Partners consisted of Anders Morén and Filip Karlsson.
