Wigge advised AMF Fastigheter on the acquisition of the property Tobaksmonopolet 2 (Tobaksfabriken) from a fund managed by CBRE Investment Management for SEK 1.545 billion. The property is located just 200 meters from Södra Station on Södermalm and spans 18,600 square meters.
Tobaksmonopolet 2 is a historical landmark on Södermalm in Stockholm. It was constructed between 1917 and 1922 and originally housed the manufacturing facilities for Svenska Tobaks AB (now Swedish Match AB). One of the architects behind this iconic building was Ivar Tengbom, who also designed the historic buildings Tändstickspalatset and Stockholm Concert Hall. The entire block served various functions for the tobacco company. A few years later, the headquarters (now part of Tobaksmonopolet 14) were built, also designed by Tengbom. Tobacco production ceased in 1965, and the property is now protected as a cultural heritage site.
Currently, Tobaksfabriken hosts tenants such as Swedish Match, H&M Arket, Mojang, Desenio, Konstnärsnämnden, and Ogeborg.
